How long do nail extensions last?
As a rule three to four weeks. Exactly how long depends mostly on how fast your own nails grow and how hard they are used — water, cleaning products and physical work all shorten it. The gel itself does not wear out; what becomes visible is the regrowth at the cuticle.
When do I need an infill?
Most clients come for an infill every three to four weeks, once the regrowth shows. At an infill we shorten the nail, level the surface with the regrowth and reapply gel and colour. An infill costs less than a new set — prices are on the price list.
Do extensions damage your natural nails?
No, provided the work is done properly and you do not pull them off yourself. Before every set we treat and prepare the natural nail thoroughly and do a Russian manicure. We remove the gel in the studio — never break or file it off at home, because that is what damages the nail plate.
Does the length of my own nail matter?
It does not. We extend very short nails too — on a tip or on a form. If you do not want extensions, we can simply strengthen your own nails with gel or gel polish.
What is the difference between gel, gel polish and BIAB?
Gel polish is colour on the natural nail and holds for roughly two to three weeks. BIAB strengthens your own nails and adds colour — right when you do not want extensions but your nails need support. Builder gel or acrylic gel is used when we extend the nail or build a shape.
What is a Russian manicure?
A way of working the cuticle with an e-file instead of scissors. The result is a cleaner edge, the colour goes right up to the skin, and the manicure therefore looks neat for longer. We use the same method for pedicures.
Which extension techniques do you use?
We extend on a tip or on a form, in gel or acrylic gel. For anyone who prefers short, natural nails we apply gel polish or gel to the natural nail. We choose the shape and length together with you.
How long does an appointment take?
A new set takes longer than an infill, and nail art extends the appointment further. We take our time over nails — better that you are here a few minutes longer than that you leave with a rushed set. You get a precise estimate when you book.
What do I do if a nail breaks?
Get in touch as soon as you can. Repairing a single nail is quick and cheap — €5 for gel and €3 for gel polish. Do not repair it at home with glue.
What should I know before a pedicure?
We offer gel polish or gel on the toes, correct and improve the shape of the nails, and work the cuticle by the Russian method. For the pedicure proper — hard skin and nail treatment — please see a medical pedicurist beforehand.
Which colours and nail art can I choose?
The studio holds more than 250 shades: neutrals and nudes through to strong colours, seasonal tones and special effects. We do French, baby boom, nail art and 3D work. Prices for individual services are on the price list; for a more elaborate design, tell us in advance so we can set aside enough time.
How can I pay?
You pay at the studio when you visit, or you can settle it when you book online. For online payment we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB and China UnionPay, and from a mobile phone also Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay. Through the payment link you receive by email there is also Klarna. Payment runs through Stripe — we never see or store your card details. You can also pay in advance by Flik to our phone number. Prices for all services are on the price list and apply until further notice.
Why do I pay €20 on my first booking?
Registering and looking at free slots commit you to nothing — you can see everything available with no obligation. But once you confirm an appointment, that hour is yours and nobody else can take it. So on a first booking we charge a €20 deposit.
It comes off the price of the service in full, so it is not an extra charge — at your visit you pay only the difference. It is a sign that you mean the appointment seriously, as we do: a booked slot left empty is lost time for the studio and for the client who would otherwise have taken it.
If you cancel at least 24 hours before the start, we refund the deposit in full. If you cancel later or do not turn up, we keep it. The deposit applies only to a first booking — once you are our client, you do not pay it again.
